Barry Bonds hits 754
Bonds hit 754 and then walked the next 4 times...
I hope someone pitches to him!
1 homer away from tying Hank Aaron.
I'll flag some news and may call a penalty!

Well, it's going to happen sooner or later, so we might as well get it over with. I think it will be a sad day for baseball.
Well...I agree it's going to happen...
I have been on the opposite side of the conversation though, because I think that even if he "juiced", he wasn't the only one, which means pitchers as well.
Juiced Batter versus Juiced Pitcher, they both got the same advantage but he was that much better.
My difference of opinion only lies in the feeling that steroids was so widespread. If that isn't the case, and we may never know...then I agree with bashing Bonds.
That being said, a friend made the best suggestion today in regards to the topic...GO A-ROD!
If he breaks the record it won't matter. While A-Rod may like blondes that aren't his wife, he is squeaky clean from a baseball perspective.
you know, Pete, you make a very good point. I hadn't really thought about pitchers on steroids, but that makes sense. I like your friend's suggestion. When I practiced law back in Pennsylvania I had an interesting experience with a former NFL player who had used steroids. After he quit playing, he went public about having used steroids. He testified on behalf of one of my clients in a case that I had. Being the avid football fan that I am, I knew him by name, and was used to seeing him on the football field. I was shocked to see this skinny guy, who looked 20 years older than he was, and needed a heart transplant. Unfortunately, he never got that heart and died a few years ago.
