29000 names deleted by Myspace - Sex Offenders

First of all...that number is astounding!!!!

Second of all...why did it take legal action to get Myspace to do this???

That is an astounding figure. But, I have to just voice a word of caution. I know, it's my old legal training coming into play, but I can't help myself. I have for 25 years been calling for a national registry system for known sexual predators. But, I think the system must be realistic. For example, do you call a 19 year old guy who has consensual sexual relations with his 17 year old girlfriend, a sexual predator, when her parents objected and filed charges against him? Well, a lot of states do. Do you call a guy who gets drunk and makes the mistake of urinating in an alley behind the police station a sexual predator? Well, again a lot of states do. I have looked at the statistics in my state, and can only shake my head at the minor crimes that are included as sexual predator violations. Common sense has gotten away from everyone. In terms of why My Space didn't voluntarily release that information just think of the legal system today. I'm sure that is what they did.

What makes people act the way they do?

With all the recalls associated with Chinese products, do you look at the label now to see where a product is made?

NEW POLL: What percentage of baseball players were taking steriods, HGH or other enhancing drugs (like amphetamines) before the rules changes instituted by MLB?

Which would you prefer?

You're at the Final table of the WSOP. You get dealt 2 Aces. What do you do?
