Baseball Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn To Appear On Wheaties Box

I just saw Baseball Hall-of-Famer Tony Gwynn on ESPN First Take.

What a class act.

If there was ever a sports figure you want your kids to look up to...he's it.

As for the Wheaties box...WHAT TOOK SO LONG????

Tony Gwynn is a class act. It makes me sad to see what Barry Bonds is doing to baseball's image. I follow the Pittsburgh Pirates (yes, even now), and remember Barry from his early days as a member of the Pirates. He was rude and arrogant then, and nothing has changed. Too bad he didn't learn to imitate Tony Gwynn, Ken Griffey, (Sr. or Jr) or my two personal heroes Willie Stargell and Roberto Clemente.

I concur! When you compare Barry Bond's intangibles to the greats you mentioned...He doesn't compare.

Thanks for commenting!

What makes people act the way they do?

With all the recalls associated with Chinese products, do you look at the label now to see where a product is made?

NEW POLL: What percentage of baseball players were taking steriods, HGH or other enhancing drugs (like amphetamines) before the rules changes instituted by MLB?

Which would you prefer?

You're at the Final table of the WSOP. You get dealt 2 Aces. What do you do?
