Not so Extinct after all - Long Beaked Echidna

The Long Beaked Echinda may still be alive and kicking.

It's an interesting species in that it is one of only five egg laying mammal species (Monotremes).

Similar to the Duck-Bill Platypus...it may have been around since the time of the dinosaurs.

An expedition next year to Papua's Cyclops Mountains hopes to obtain pictures.
